This is the exciting time that makes the fall and winter so welcoming – our Fall Pre-thanksgiving retreat!
It promises to be a sweaty weekend to help us stay fit and healthy, right before the holidays officially takes over our lives. November 8th-11th (which is two weekends before Thanksgiving) we are all going to get out of the city to have a fun and intense, total fitness experience to get you ready for “seconds” at Thanksgiving Dinner and the annual onslaught of nightly cocktail holiday parties that will ensue. Different packages and days are available for everyone to join.
This year we feel we need our fall venue to be in the sun!!! After such a rainy and cloudy summer, the Miami sun and the beach is necessary to inspire our minds and refresh our bodies.
We will train at Formula Fitness Academy most of the time but weather permitting outside by the water for a few sessions. We will spend together this intense beautiful weekend learning, training, sweating, and of course sharing tons of laughter. Our practice will include Inner Power Flow Yoga, Inner Warrior, Capoeira, Muay Thai and MMA (Mixed Martial Arts)…so you know, it will be on!
To try and make it work with everyone’s schedules and fitness goals, I put together a couple different packages that differ in time and offering. There is a 3-day weekend option for the Full Intensive work out, or Yoga only. For those looking for a bigger push, there is a 4-day option of either the Full Intensity work out or again the Yoga only. Prices and descriptions below.

Inner Power Flow (All levels) is an athletic approach to yoga based on elements from various traditions focusing on core flexibility, breath, and deep stretching reaching to connect seamlessly mind and body. Each movement is systemically linked with breath work to train your entire body, refresh your mind, and soothe your soul.
Inner Warrior (All levels) was developed as a calibrated synthesis of yoga and martial arts, designed to increase strength, agility, flexibility, stamina. The high intensity practices let your Inner Warrior martial arts master come out!
Capoeira (some experience needed to participate) is an Afro Brazilian martial arts form, combining elements of dance, music, and martial arts training. This energetic class offers a comprehensive program including cardio and strength conditioning. With Capoeira every single part of the body is put to the test, and the result is a complete fitness workout.
Muay Thai boxing (All levels) is an intense combat sport of Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. This discipline is known as the "Art of Eight Limbs" because it is characterized by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees and shins.
MMA (All levels) Mixed martial arts is a full-contact combat sport that allows striking and grappling, both standing and on the ground, using techniques from other combat sports and martial arts
Rafaela Gusmao, who is not only a great powerhouse teacher but also a fantastic masseuse and therapist. She has also offered us a very special deal for her massage treatment, advanced booking is required.

Accommodations are up to each individual to find. I recommend staying either in Wynwood (5 min away), Edgewater/Midtown (5 min away) or South beach (15-20min away).
